So I watched the new The Incredible Hulk this past weekend and was pleasantly surprised. It turned out better than I expected. I love Edward Norton but I was wondering if he would pull off Banner well and I think he did. I guess after my post about Iron Man and now this one, you guys can probably tell I'm a superhero comic book fan. My cousin and maybe some friends of mine are thinking about going to Comic Con this year while we're near the area. What do you guys think?
Anyway, I've been pondering about the possible movies I will be going to watch in the future. So without further ado...
Here's my "to see" list --
The Fall: Heard from reliable sources that this one is pretty good. Hoping to see it before it stops playing in theaters. Hoping to convince my friends to go watch it with me (a feat which I know will be difficult to do). If not, a-renting we will go!
The Curious Case of Benjamin Button: Haven't read the book, but I probably should before the movie comes out. It's Fitzgerald so I'm expecting big things. I am also expecting big things from the film after watching the trailer. Stars Brad Pitt. And BONUS! -- stars Cate Blanchett.
Burn After Reading: So, I know what you're thinking...Brad Pitt again? But it's the Coen Brothers! And Frances McDormand! This is a different take following the very serious No Country for Old Men. I'm expecting to be laughing the entire way through. The whole, can't-really-breathe-and-can't-stop kind o
The Dark Knight: I've seen the trailer and I feel like Heath Ledger is going to be astounding in the movie. I think I will probably enjoy his version of the Joker. While I haven't always been a fan of Ledger, I respected him as an actor. I hope he did well with this role and hopefully gets some recognition for it.
The Rocker: So this might be a wild card but I just love Rainn Wilson and will give this film the benefit of the doubt. Unlike Juno, Wilson gets more than a few minutes of screen time so I'm hoping for big laughs. I mean, it's something to do while I wait for the new season of "The Office" right?
Pineapple Express: It's like the movie version of "Freaks and Geeks." Sans the geeks...and three freaks. So yeah, I'm there.
Tropic Thunder: I surprisingly like all three of these actors. And Downey playing a white guy playing a black guy? Must see that. The plot does sound somewhat promising too. May not make a lot of money but I'll go and pay the $8 or so to give my support.
Revolutionary Road: So wow, I don't think anyone was really expecting this? Kate and Leo getting back together? I personally enjoy period pieces, this one is set in the 50's, so I'm looking forward to this movie. Here's hoping DiCaprio delivers, without Scorsese this time.
Wanted: This one's just for McAvoy. While the trailer shows some awesome action scenes (I was especially impressed when he was swept into the moving car by Jolie) I don't know how the film will be overall. I hope it's good.
Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince: While I'm not particularly excited for the next Harry Potter installment to grace the big screen, I figured I might as well add it to the list because I might as well finish it off right? There's only one more--wait two more--after this one so... I will be amazed if I leave the theater with positive reviews after the last movie.
So that's it for now I guess. Feel free to make any comments if you'd like. Oh and if you have any suggestions you can go ahead and share them as well. Alright, it's kind of late now so cheerio mates.
